Matthew Ellis

Why were you looking to start a career in tech sales and sign up for a bootcamp?

I wanted a job that provided some stability for my family, as far as income goes, that also rewarded good work. I also wanted to be in a field that was fast-paced and exciting.

Why did you choose AlwaysHired?

AlwaysHired had a really cool structure and flow. I liked that I would be hearing from several different instructors, had access to a whole ecosystem of past and present students to problem solve with, and most importantly, the live training sessions.

What did you do before starting AlwaysHired?

I was a recent MEd graduate.

What is your background in? Do you have sales experience?

I now have sales experience, as I got hired through AH. But, before starting, I had no formal sales experience. I worked in Mental Health for my career.

What are your career goals?

I want to advance to an AE and then continue moving up from there.

What is your favorite thing about the bootcamp so far?

Live training sessions--especially when hearing some differing opinions and differing ideas. There are a host of different things you will run into, and having several ideas for how to do that in my arsenal is helpful.

Is there anything else you would like to share?

I got hired after only interviewing with one company during COVID. I got super lucky.
